                     Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB)

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) meet four times a year at New County Hall in Truro.

The Safeguarding Adults Board are responsible for protecting vulnerable adults from abuse, reducing the risk of abuse, and supporting people to stop abuse where it happens.

Members of the Safeguarding Adults Board are from a wide range of organisations, including charities, NHS, local government, and the Police.

So what happens when 2 members of (SAB), Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Cornwall Council, are jointly responsible for the abuse of a vulnerable adult they both knew to be long-term mentally ill ?

They protected only each other and not the vulnerable adult who died within a year.
