#StAustellHealthcareCentre Why isn't every patient being consulted about proposed changes that will impact upon them @amj2264 Dr A. James ?

@geoffscameras Thanks for your interest. The practice welcomes your opinions: tinyurl.com/holm97h (from practice website).

@amj2264 Thanks. I understand Woodland Road Surgery will close on 01 May following a down grade and Park Surgery is next. Why the survey ?

@geoffscameras Park remains an important part of the practice. The practice always welcomes constructive feedback, and this is no different.

@amj2264 Thanks for confirming Woodland Road is no longer important and that Park will remain important for now. Why not ask all patients ?

@geoffscameras Important issue is maintaining and improving patient care, which this does. Same team, more suitable building.

@amj2264 The proposals cannot possibly improve patient care by reducing the number of surgeries. Same team, one building and 30,000 patients

@geoffscameras 4 sites, with capacity to manage Woodland Road staff. Will be more efficient, stronger teams and that will benefit patients.

@amj2264 Thanks. Are you categorically stating there are no long term plans to close any of the other surgeries which come under the Hub ?

@geoffscameras No reason to close sites unless better options for patient care become available. No such options exist.

@amj2264 Thank you for your time Dr James.

@geoffscameras Thank you for caring. It is about sustainable healthcare for St Austell and aspiring to primary care to be proud of.
